Smoked Apple

Fresh cut apple hits first, bright, sharp and sweet like you just sank your teeth into it. Then the smoke creeps in, low and slow, curling around the fruit until it turns dark, sticky, and dangerous. It's an orchard after dark... It's sweet but not soft. Clean for half a second, then so dirty. The apple stays juicy while the smoke stains everything it touches, filling the room with a mouth-watering, seductive haze that refuses to behave.
